Where the Name Began

This work begins with my grandparents. Photographs of them in their youth are embedded into the handmade paper, held within its fibres as if the paper has grown around them. It returns to the place where the name Van der Linde began for me – with two people I can no longer speak to, but whose story I now carry forward.
