Paper Proof

Handmade paper with printed photographs and digital drawing
150 x 210 mm

Identity documents are meant to prove who we are. In Paper Proof, pieces of my own ID and passport photographs are pressed into handmade paper and drawn over digitally, asking what 'proof' of a self really looks like. The official record of my name sits alongside the name I have chosen, layered into something softer and more personal than any document.
